Hello again Boys and Girls.

As the year comes to a close and we put on our foul weather apparel we find ourselves in the midst of the holiday season.. And nothing says I love you more than some well crafted gifts from your local neighborhood art collective. We'll be out and about this November and December so catch us at a venue in your area. Press Release: Fort Point Open Studios

Did anyone Catch the Weekly Dig a few weeks back? Old news I know, but I thought it was important to note any press we get. This image was part of a piece on the Fort Point Open Studios and the subsequent desertion of the artists on Melcher Street. As more artists are kicked out of their studios in Fort Point the character of the area is changing, if its for the better or worse, the jury's still out on that.

I survived the Great SoWa storm of '08

Our South End Open Market's adventure started off wonderfully yesterday, and we were lucky enough to see a lot of our friends and make some great new ones.

But, somewhere around 3pm, we got stuck in the Great SoWa Storm of '08 and lost a few pieces and a tent in the process.

We'll update a bit later with more details about our dichotomy of a day, but for now, thanks to everyone who came out and a special thanks to the vendors who helped us save as much of our work as possible.

CMYK @ Sew What?!? Arts Event

It seems that we are quite the popular arts collective in Boston. So popular we were asked to participate in Sew What?!? Fashion, Art and Shopping Event, It's going to have jewelry, clothes, and art vendors, live art demonstrations where you can see our very own Alfredo Rico-Dimas create a graffiti masterpiece. The event also features a Swap-O-Rama-Rama clothing swap and D.I.Y stations. It should be a good time.

Location: Union Square Plaza, Somerville

Date/Time: Saturday May 31st, 3-7 PM

South End Open Market Opening Weekend

The South End Open Market's opening weekend has come and gone. But in its wake lay the unveiling of CMYK Boston's potpourri of edgy art (Graffiti and Nude pictures topping the list), and the people loved it. Check it out... and just a quick note, the high caffeine content of Starbucks' mint mocha late frappuchino free samples is what really allowed this weekend to happen. So thank you Starbucks, thank you.

Looks fancy, doesn't it?

There are also real fancy pants prints to see of mine at Bloc 11 Cafe in Somerville, Massachusetts for an undefined amount of time (but are up as of now, probably no longer then late April, 2008).

It is a mini-retrospective of the past three years of proper photographic prints made with sweat and tears and an occasional 40 oz-er.

Ode To Etsy

Etsy is probably the most exciting place on the internet.
I did ALL of my Christmas shopping on Etsy. Not only did everyone think that I made all my own presents (ha ha!) but I didn't have to go out shopping with all the scary people in that insane period between Thanksgiving and December 25th. Seriously...it's like a zombie horror flick out there.
I even found a present for my Dad on Etsy. And it wasn't a tie.

Ah the Magic of youtube. This is a mother we won't be kicking. "She's 55 years old. She's a grandmother of two. She's also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and can snap a man's neck in less than 4 seconds. She's John Anthony Moroso's mom, and she kicks ass. This documentary seeks to understand just how one small Mexican woman can kick planet-sized amounts of ass. Honeybees are deserting Massachusetts in great numbers and all because of cell phones. Wont you please save a bee and throw out your cell phone. We've done enough damage, haven't we? I'm sorry but I don't have a crying indian on hand to guilt you into disposing of your celly, but isn't the thought of all those bee keepers weeping silently in their silly outfits enough?
